Elephant Blanket
This is a blanket I made for my nephew. It uses a fillet stitch to create the elephant. Its made of Paintbox Simply Aran Yarn in stormy grey using a 6mm crochet hook.
Size: Toddler (90cm x 120cm)

Polar Bear - Raul Jr.
This was a birthday present for my sister. I used Crafty DK white yarn and a 3mm hook. The pattern for this bear did not cite its original author.

Jungle Animals
Elephant - Ester
For my nephew’s first birthday I decided to make him an elephant to match the blanket he got last year. Ester stands (just) about 30cm tall and was made using a 3.5mm hook and some of the left over grey yarn from the blanket.

Lion - Laurence
For Christmas he got the lion from the same set of crocheted jungle animals. Laurence is also made using a 3.5mm hook and Deramores Studio aran acrylic yarn in Pineapple, and Ribston acrylic in pumpkin.

Paw Print Blanket
My sister-in-law wanted a “chunky blanket with pompoms” for her baby due in October 2023. I found a pattern for this paw print blanket on Etsy and make her baby a massive blanket using chunky Trimm Velvet yarn in grey and white and a 7mm hook. The main body of the blanket is made from single crochet and the paw prints are made of bobble stitches. The pattern called for 500g of each to do 3 blocks of white and 2 blocks of grey. However, I needed much more than that. To complete 2 blocks of each colour I used 600g of both colours and ran out of grey.

How to bobble stitch
How to fix a hole in a row
